The YEi
Networking Event
Monday, August 30th - 6.00pm to 8.00pm
French American Chamber of Commerce Offices
The “Young Entrepreneurs
Initiative” (YEi) was launched at the end of 2005 by the Embassy of France in
the United States (Boston Office for Science and Technology). Through this
program, the French government,
associated now
with Retis (French federation of incubators), the new parent of YEi, aims at supporting and encouraging entrepreneurs
in the US to launch an innovative venture in France.
Each year YEi launches a competition selecting between six and ten US based
entrepreneurs gifted with fresh and innovative minds. Selected laureates are
supported to strengthen their startup project from the US, and to consolidate
their plans for France
(mission trip to
France, mentoring, free advice, coaching and workshop sessions…)
Over the first five years, YEi has
attracted 174 candidates and selected 46 laureates. Half of them have either
already set-up an activity in France or are in the process of doing so.
In the time of
launching the YEi’11 competition, The French American Chamber of Commerce of San
Francisco is pleased to host an event in honor of three of YEi’10 laureates:
:
Gareth
Dobson (Analytical
Instruments - SRI),
Pierre
